Abhisit not worried about voting for PM

Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva is not worried if members of pro-Thaksin Shinawatra group will block entrance of the parliament on Monday to prevent members of parliament to elect the new prime minister.

He said if their action does not violate the constitution, then they can do it, but authorities would have to take care of the situation too.

Mr Abhisit then called on police to ensure safety at the Supachalasai stadium, where members of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) gather to listen to Mr Thaksin's phone-in on Saturday night.

In the morning, students from a vocational school situated near the stadium clashed with the UDD supporters. No one was injured.

When asked about his opinion on Pracharaj leader Sanoh Thienthong's attempt to establish a national unity government, Mr Abhist said he has the right to express opinion.

But he insisted that the Democrat party has received supports from former coalition parties to form a government, and that has not been changed.
